Get Ready for your Tattoo

Here's what you need to know:

  • Make sure to hydrate and eat a good meal! No empty tummies.

  • No drinking in excess the night before your tattoo.

  • No sunburns, broken skin, or eczema/psoriasis flares within a week of getting your tattoo. Be honest with your artist because this is for YOUR safety. (If any of these are found in the area to be tattooed you will have to reschedule and place a new deposit!)

  • Wear comfy clothes that you don't mind possibly getting ink on, and that allow the artist to reach the area getting tattooed.

  • Feel free to bring headphones or a book so you can zone out or watch a movie while getting tattooed.

  • ALWAYS have ID or some form of age and name verification. IT IS REQUIRED OR NO TATTOO! (If you are under 18 your parent must bring their ID and your birth certificate, and they MUST be present for your entire appointment.)

  • Be prepared to pay with: Cash, Debit/Credit Card or Zelle.

Numbing Cream

Place a thick layer of cream in the area where you want your tattoo. Make sure it covers bigger than where you expect the tattoo.

Wrap the area securely with plastic wrap in order to hold in the moisture.

Let it sit COVERED for AT LEAST 1 hour BEFORE your appointment.

Test it at least one week before to make sure you don't have a reaction!

ALWAYS make sure to test the numbing cream on a DIFFERENT area of the body than where you will be getting tattooed in case you do have a reaction.

And always let your artist know ahead of time if you will be using numbing cream!

Aftercare Instructions

*Please Follow Your Aftercare!

2-4 hours after your tattoo take the plastic wrap off.

OR

After 2-3 days take off the second skin. (It is best to take it off in the shower) ALWAYS take the second skin off if the seal is somehow broken.

2-3x daily: Wash your hands with antibacterial soap then gently clean your tattoo. Then pat it dry and apply a thin layer of Aquaphor or a similar ointment. *DO NOT USE NEOSPORIN!

Once the tattoo begins to scab, you can switch to a non scented lotion. APPLY LIBERALLY!

DO NOT soak your tattoo in any kind of water for at least 2-3 weeks. (No pools, baths, rivers, lakes, hot tubs, etc.)

Keep your tattoo as clean as possible!

Stay out of tanning beds and direct sunlight.

Use sunscreen whenever you will be outside for the longevity of your tattoo.

DO NOT pick at the scab or scratch the tattoo, this can cause ink to fall out.

Consult a physician and let your artist know if you experience ANY signs of infection or allergic reaction!
